Close loss, but ready for the Cardinals

We dropped a close one today. We had our chances. Three times we had third base and one out and did not push one across. We had 11 hits, but need to be more timely.

Joey Tingue and Tommy Morris threw well out of the pen. Scoreless four innings. Scott Schuster has continued to shopw he a baseball player -- a lot of clutch at bats and heads up plays. Freshman Mike Prentice got his second start in two days and added two more hits. Good to see him take advantage of his opportunity.

We are at Greenwell's tonight -- putt putt, go carts and the arcade. A little mental break from the game, plus a day off tomorrow. Three games coming up against conference rival Plattsburgh. Always a good game when we play the Cardinals.

I'd like to give a shout out to last year's intern, Jordan Doolittle. He's been following our progress and looking forward to someday lighting up a victory cigar.
